Organizers of the next International Tourism Fair in Cuba (FITCuba 2013) said in advance that there is a great effort in the preparation of the Plaza America Convention Center, Varadero Beach, to receive such an event. Some spokesmen specified that FITCuba 2013 will be held in this important resort (the most important in Cuba), 86, 9 miles distant east from Havana.

The main commercial tourism fair in Cuba will start on May 7 to finish on May 10.

Raul Caballero, director of the Plaza America Convention Center, said the works to fit the place started at the end of 2012.

This is one of the best Cuban convention centers, close to one of the most outstanding beaches in the island, to which more than a million foreign visitors arrive.

The organizers and officials added that 6 rooms are being remodelled mainly for tour operators from Europe, Canada and Latin America.

FITCuba 2013 will be dedicated to Brazil, a guest of honor, and will show the development of Cuban tourism to the participants apart from allowing visitors make businesses with the Cuban tourism sector.
