Cuban Migrants – Update

At approximately 6 pm on 11 November 2013 a report was received that Cuban migrants were sighted in the vicinity of Scotts Dock. Police and Immigration responded. There were 28 men and three women on board (previously reported as 29 men). One male migrant was taken to the Faith Hospital after complaining of illness. He was initially treated and returned to the vessel, but was subsequently flown to Grand Cayman about 6 pm on Monday 12 November 2013 by the Police Helicopter assisted by emergency medical personnel from the Health Services.
The remaining 27 men and 3 females departed at 12:45 pm on the 12 November 2013.
