Culture and Heritage Organisations Across Cayman Unite to Present “Culture Keepers” to Cayman’s Students
The Cayman National Cultural Foundation (CNCF) has partnered with several other local institutions to present a cultural passport initiative to primary aged students in the Cayman Islands.
Titled “Culture Keepers” and lasting from 2 July – 31 August, this programme will feature an interactive downloadable activity booklet that students can fill out through visiting each partnering organization. Students will receive a stamp for every organisation they visit, and those who collect all stamps will officially be crowned “Culture Keepers” with a celebratory pin. Representative institutions include:
- Cayman Islands National Museum
- Cayman National Cultural Foundation
- Cayman Turtle Centre
- National Gallery of the Cayman Islands
- National Trust of the Cayman Islands
- Pedro St. James
The activities are accessible, and serve to allow students to engage in artistic and educational way with Cayman’s arts, culture, and heritage. Opening hours will vary between institutions, and further guidelines will be made available from 2 July on the CNCF website, access at www.artscayman.org. Culture Keepers will also be curated to provide programming for students in Cayman Brac, for which more information will be available in the coming days.
