GEORGE TOWN, Grand Cayman–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Cayman based alternative fund governance specialist Danesmead Partners (Danesmead) has appointed former Soros Fund Management LLC (Soros) CFO Tracie Ahern as a director and principal of the firm.

Tracie will be based in New York and will serve as an independent director on alternative investment vehicles. An industry veteran with 26 years of experience in the investment management industry she is a Certified Public Accountant with an MBA from New York University. During her eight-year tenure at Soros, Tracie had responsibility for the treasury function, trade operations and firm wide budgeting and financial analysis, including all corporate and investment company financials. She also served on the firm’s Management, Brokerage, Treasury, Capital Allocation and Risk Committees and Chaired the Valuation Committee. Most recently Tracie was the COO/CFO of Brightwood Capital Advisors LLC where she served on the Executive Committee and Valuation Committees for the lower middle market direct lending firm.
