Despite its many challenges, the Earth is a perfect place!

The number one reason for such claim is, the Earth was created by the perfect Being – God, the omnificent, the One who allows continuous sufferings, not that God does not care, but a heavenly strategy and a prescription to get people closer to Him.

Honestly, post 2015 general elections have created a Vincentian replica of Pharaoh in Egypt – binding the people and because of the leader’s stubbornness God caused plagues to reign over the land – giving Pharaoh the option to surrender, instead Pharaoh hardened his heart against God and continued his wicked rule. If God rescued the Israelites out of Egypt, God is ready and able to save Vincentians from the hands of Ralph’s desperate regime.

My honest interpretation for this crisis happening in SVG is inevitable and a test of faith from God. In Proverbs chapter three the scripture warns that God reproves whom He loves even as the father corrects his son in whom he delights. Note, this is not your usual ‘’Labour love”, this is genuine unwavering love regardless of your status.

Here, I am forced to look at our hideous situation from the biblical perspective, because most of our pastors and priests, and the other God-giving men and women of our nation are not God-fearing enough to do so.

In fact, in Psalms 37 the scriptures give us hope. It tells us not to fret because of evildoers nor envy the man who does wrong. It further alludes – do not fret because of the man who prospers in his way and who carries out wicket schemes. The same passage comforts us – this man will wither quickly like the grass and fade like the green herb. Remember too Vincentians, God wants us to trust in Him and do good, continue to dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness.

Still referring to that passage of scriptures, the peaceful protests alone cannot curb our heinous dilemmas. According to my biblical understanding, these actions must be supported by constantly praying without ceasing and committing your way to the Lord, and God will do it – in so doing, God will bring forth your righteousness as the light and your judgment as the noonday. In the meantime wait patiently for Him.

Vincentians, you are encouraged not to lose hope. Furthermore, I am asking all Vincentians not to make the judicial system their primary focus, but to seek a turnaround from God through faith. God is infallible and this God cannot victimize or create a divide by favouring a particular group. This superior Being cannot make empty promises, as He is unchangeable, perfect and true to His words. This God I am promoting is incorruptible; there is no amount of money, power or fame that can entice this God – search the scriptures and know what happened on the Mount of Olives.

I urge, do not label me as a New Democratic Party (NDP) operative – see me as a Vincentian who does not condone wrong; mirror me as a citizen who is encouraging fellow citizens to approach the situation with faith. From now on, arm yourself with my philosophical ideology, “I support good governance and constructively criticize bad decisions, regardless of party or individual.”

It is sad that I have to end this insightful journey here. However, remember that the living God had summoned Pharaoh to let His people go and for this to materialize the Israelites had to steadfast as a nation and unite in faith. Remember too, when God delivers you from the hands of the wicked continue worshiping Him and not the golden calf that some Vincentians are worshiping today.

Do not ask Ralph! Ask the psalmist David – fret not!
