Certification courses in basic food hygiene and cosmetology are being offered by the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) to workers in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.
“Operators of Food & Cosmetology Businesses are reminded that DEH requires all personnel be trained.” says Environmental Health Officer Thomas Augustine. “All personnel who have not yet taken one of these training courses or those needing to update their certification should register to attend”.
“It is of paramount importance that we have all workers in their respective industries on the Sister Islands be trained up to standard to provide the highest level of service throughout the Cayman Islands”, stated the Director of Environmental Health, Mr. Roydell Carter.
Training courses will be offered on the following dates:-
- 28 October, 2014 – Food Safety Training Course from 9 am to 4pm.

Refreshments will be served but lunch will not be provided.
Food establishments’ employees and individuals needing certification for the upcoming Pirates Week Festival must contact the DEH Cayman Brac Office to indicate the number and names of persons attending the course by Friday, 24 October 2014.
