Your garbage will be staying put at your home longer than before.

Officials from the Department of Environmental Health’s (DEH) is advising the public that residential and commercial garbage collection services have been delayed due to on-going mechanical problems with the trucks.

Subsequently, residential garbage collection on Grand Cayman has been reduced from a twice weekly service to one day per week service because of this delay.

Commercial customers will also experience some delays with their services.

The Department of Vehicle and Equipment Services (DVES) have beenworking to have the trucks back in operation.

The DEH apologizes for the inconvenience caused as efforts are being made to normalize and improve the collection services.

The Sister Islands collection services are operating as normal.
