Directors Accreditation Course

CIDAThe Cayman Islands Directors Association (CIDA) is pleased to once again facilitate the Directors Accreditation Course (DEAP), being offered this year on 10, 11 and 12 September 2014.

DEAP is a sharply focused programme delivering critical content in four areas, Governance, Finance, Strategy and Risk Management – in a condensed period of time. DEAP welcomes participation from experienced and newly appointed directors with management or professional experience.

As Paul Harris, president of CIDA, stated “one of CIDA’s main aims is the education of Cayman based directors which we achieve through various educational events throughout the year. The Accredited Director course which we present in association with the Canadian division of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators is the flagship of our efforts.”

Once registered for DEAP, you will receive material to be read ahead time – one document for each of the modules. The workshop will be three days in duration and will be a mix of presentations, discussions, case studies and a quiz for each module. Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the Accredited Director designation (Acc. Dir.) and receive membership in the Affiliated Group of the Chartered Secretaries of Canada.

As an Affiliate Group member, you will have a subscription to Corporate Governance Quarterly, the premier publication on good governance practice; access to special rates for seminars, workshops and other continuing professional development opportunities; and the same benefits package extended to their professional members.

The cost of the course for CIDA members is US$1,000.00. If you are interested in participating in this course, please contact: Deanna Derrick at [email protected] or Clive Harris at [email protected]
