The submissions for the DLG Agri Influencer Award reflect how quickly agricultural communication in social media has evolved: “Over the years, we on the jury have noticed that even profiles with a small reach now post frequently and regularly. The quality has also increased in terms of content and technology. Moreover, many creators are now putting themselves in front of the camera, showing themselves as people and taking their followers to their farms,” says Heike Zeller, aHEU – Regionale Vermarktungsstragien (Regional Marketing Strategies), who chairs the international award jury.
“It’s also interesting to see how the influencers’ channels and goals differ across countries,” says Katrin Fischer, Chairwoman of the Association of German Agricultural Journalists (VDAJ) and jury member since 2022.
