A couple of points and the headlines
Today in the US many businesses celebrate the July 4th holiday since it falls on a Saturday this year. So we will have the headlines but there are a couple of points to mention:
- In a press conference today, Los Angeles announced that their data analysis indicates that some of the spike in new CoViD-19 cases was due to the protests several weeks ago. I have not heard that mentioned as a cause prior to today
- The SARS-CoV-2 virus may have mutated a bit to make itself more easily transmitted person to person. It doesn’t seem to be causing worse disease but more people may catch it.
- The percentage of positive cases among people being tested is way up in Florida, Texas and Alabama. That’s a bad sign that more virus is spreading in the community.
Be well and take care of yourself. There are storm clouds on the horizon.
