Today’s topics: Just headlines tonight with some good news from hotspot states
There will NOT be a Friday call this week.
Just the headlines tonight with some good news from the hotspot states. New cases in TX, AZ and FL seem to be leveling off as people follow public health recommendations. Although fatalities remain quite high in those areas, it is important to remember that fatalities trail new cases by about 6 weeks. So with new cases leveling off, the hospitalization numbers should start dropping in a few weeks and then the deaths should drop as well. Texas had a 19% decrease while Arizona saw a 13% decrease in its 7 day average and Florida had an 8% decrease. Whne people start paying attention and following social distancing and wearing a face covering, it makes a difference. Be well and take care of yourself. There are storm clouds on the horizon. –Dr. Stu |
