Three men have been arrested and are currently detained in police custody following a drugs operation in the George Town area Thursday (24) morning.

The operation, which centered on a premises in Smith Road, resulted in several pounds of ganja, some fully grown ganja plants and a quantity of drugs paraphernalia being seized. Officers also recovered two boat engines which are suspected of being stolen.

The men, aged 28, 29 and 61 years were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply and consumption of ganja.

Police enquiries continue.
