We have just learnt from a police spokesman that a 40-year-old man was arrested after the RCIPS received a report a car had crashed off the road into a ditch near to the Avalon apartment complex in the early hours of Wednesday (23) morning.

The spokesman said, “The man was subsequently conveyed to George Town police station, where he was charged with Driving Under the Influence before being released on police bail. The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated.”

The driver of the car has since been identified as Education Minister Rolston Anglin.
