Grand Cayman, 5 July 2022 – The Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is advising Cayman Brac residents of a temporary time change in garbage collection for the months of July and August 2022. 

Garbage collection for this period will start from 4:00 a.m. as against the usual 5:00 a.m. This change is due to the elevated temperature that we are currently experiencing as explained by Ms. Eke Patience, Environmental Health Officer for the Sister Islands.  “We are kindly requesting residents to place their garbage in the enclosure a night before their scheduled route as we implement this temporary change. There will be no change to the route”, she said.
