Eckstein premiers his new thriller ‘The Final Rule” at Camana Bay
“The Final Rule” was written, directed and produced by Mr Eckstein, who writes under the ghost name of David Bailey. The cast director is well-known Caymanian, Michael McLaughlin, who also plays one of the main characters, Detective McCoy.
Another main character is Carmen Hopper, played by Michelle Morgan.
The movie promises to be a thrilling piece of work that takes the book to a new level.
David Bailey, author of “When The Forest Bleeds,” has once again written another, “could not put down,” riveting novel. When Carmen Hopper woke up in the morning, it started as any other. Her husband, Dan, had gone to work early and she was about to start another boring day, but it would hardly end that way. When the bank called asking where Dan was, it started a day that would change her life for eternity.
Carmen starts to search for her husband, Dan Hopper, which eventually leads her to Detective McCoy. She convinces Detective McCoy to look into her husband’s disappearance, even though he informs her that the police usually do not start looking for missing persons until 24 hours have passed.
What seemed like just another missing person investigation soon takes Detective McCoy on a wild and dangerous ride. Not only must he find Dan Hopper, he discovers that Mr Hopper had stolen money from a very powerful corporation that was also in the process of hunting him down.
Detective McCoy’s investigation leads him to the realisation that this corporation will stop at nothing to find Mr Hopper, including using Carmen Hopper for bait. Now Detective McCoy must find a way to get to Mr Hopper, while keeping Mrs Hopper alive.
Throughout the story, Carmen’s love and life would change, as would those of her closest friends. Her husband had done the unforgivable. He had broken a rule from which there was no redemption. His actions would affect people in an unimaginable, traumatic way. He had broken “The Final Rule.”
The film premieres on Monday, 28 October, with an opening time of 6:30 p.m., and the showing at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and available at Mr Burger’s across from the Airport Post Office or by contacting 925-0760.
