End Polio Now Happy Hour
The Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman will be hosting the End Polio Now happy hour at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville on Friday, October 21st in celebration of World Polio Day (actual date Monday, Oct 24th).
The event is geared towards bringing awareness to the effects of polio on children across the globe. “As long as polio threatens even one child anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. The stakes are that high. Please come out and support our event.” said Jamaal Anderson, International Service Director of Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman.
End Polio Now collection boxes will be throughout the venue for donations which will go directly to the Rotary’s PolioPlus program, which has eradicated 99% of the virus to date. With your assistance we can cure the last 1% of known cases throughout the world.
This Friday at Margaritaville let’s chillax, eat, talk, dance and donate, we are “This Close”.
After 25 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all. It is a window of opportunity of historic proportions.
Rotaract Club of Grand Cayman meets every Thursday morning, 7am at Icoa Fine Foods, in the 7 Mile Shops. For more information email [email protected]
