Former Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Ray Clemence takes part in coaching clinic in the Cayman Islands

ENGLAND legend and former Scunthorpe United goalkeeper Ray Clemence has passed on some of his football wisdom to youngsters in the Cayman Islands.

Clemence was joined by former AC Milan and Italy star Daniele Massano for a coaching clinic at the International School field in Camana Bay on the islands.

The event, reported in the Cayman Compass newspaper, involved around 100 hand-picked footballers aged between nine and 11.

They took part in a question and answer session with Clemence and Massano, before taking to the pitch to learn new skills, techniques and get some tips on team play and sportsmanship.

The coaching clinic was organised by Cayman Islands golfer Marcello Santi and was described as a huge success.

Clemence started his career with the Iron before being sold to Liverpool in 1967, where he went on to win five league titles, three European Cups and many other honours.

He added a second FA Cup after moving to Tottenham Hotspur in 1981, earned a total of 61 England caps and recently retired from the game as the FA’s head of development.
