Ongoing corruption investigation (explosives)  – Update from RCIPS

The former Premier of the Cayman Islands, William McKeeva Bush, and the other local man* arrested in December 2012 in connection with the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the importation of explosive substances without valid permits, on or before February 2012, complied with their bail conditions and presented themselves to anti-corruption officers this morning.

Both men have now been released from police bail and the investigation is ongoing.

An update will be provided as and when appropriate.

*Although the RCIPS have not named the “other local man” he has been identified as Suresh Prasad the director of Midland Acres.
