UPDATES: Fatal collision in Cayman Brac, 27 February – Appeal for witnesses – Woman named

Police can now confirm the name of the woman who died in the fatal collision which took place in Cayman Brac on Tuesday, 27 February. She is Sharon Gayle-Clarke, aged 51, who resided in Cayman Brac and was originally from Jamaica.
The RCIPS offers condolences to the family of the deceased.

UPDATE: Witness Appeal: Fatal Collision in Cayman Brac, 27 February
Police are appealing for witnesses to the fatal traffic collision which took place in Cayman Brac on 27 February (see below). Anyone who may have seen anything related to this collision that they feel could assist with this investigation is urged to contact PC Indrani Tahal at the Cayman Brac Police Station at 948-0331 or 926-0635. Should PC Tahal be unavailable, any other officers present can also assist.

Shortly before 11:00PM yesterday, 27 February, police and other emergency personnel were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communication Centre to a two vehicle collision on Bight Road in the vicinity of Tibbet’s Turn Road, Cayman Brac, involving a Toyota RAV4 and a Honda Integra.
The driver of the RAV4, a woman, aged 51 of Cayman Brac, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man driving the Honda Integra was transported to the Faith Memorial Hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The matter is currently under police investigation.
