Further to the release issued yesterday (Sunday, 17 November, 2013) in relation to a fatal road crash in North Side, the RCIPS can now confirm the following;

The single vehicle road crash occurred shortly before 5.30 am on Sunday, when a Honda Accord left the road and collided with a wall near Old Robin Road. A 23-year-old man , who was within the vehicle, died at the scene.

Police enquiries have since established that a 17-year-old male left the scene of the crash. He was arrested late yesterday evening in George Town on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody while the investigation progresses.

It has now been established that the deceased was a passenger within the vehicle. He can be named to you as Jordan Anthony Ebanks , aged 23,  from the Northward area.

Anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash, or the Honda Accord before the collision took place, is asked to contact Inspector Adrian Barnett on 526-2204.
