fDi Digest: Covid-19 redraws global investment matrix
From Jacopo Dettoni From fDi Intelligence
Welcome to our first fDi Digest of the year. While the world turned the page on 2020 with a sigh of relief, some of the key trends that have emerged last year will define the global investment landscape for the years to come. Investment into the digital economy has touched new heights, while renewable energy has dethroned fossil fuels as the biggest magnet of global investment, our preliminary investment matrix for 2020 suggests. |
Looking forward, a recent survey by Site Selector Guild (SSG) shows some renewed optimismas the majority (80%) of site selectors surveyed expect companies to move forward with site selection projects in 2021.
January is also the time for new year’s resolutions. At such a critical junction for the global economy and fDi itself – 2021 marks our 20th anniversary – Beyond20 will bring you the insights of thought leaders and captains of industry into the future of global investment and the world economy throughout the year.
