The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service have confirmed that shortly after 10am Tuesday (30), two police officers were injured as they arrested a suspect at the George Town Court House.

The suspect, who had been wanted in relation to an aggravated burglary, was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary, resisting arrest and assault.

A Caymanian Compass related story said the suspect in the altercation that included court house security personnel as well as the police officers was making a court appearance on a cocaine-related charge. Their story also said one police officer suffered a hand injury whilst another suffered a twisted knee.
