Final 25-player rosters announced for 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Final Rounds

Centralized Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final will be played December 15-22, at Orlando’s Exploria Stadium Remaining eight teams will compete to be crowned regional club champion and the right to represent Concacaf at the FIFA Club World CupMiami, FL (Monday, December 7, 2020) – Concacaf has revealed the final 25 player rosters submitted by the eight clubs that will participate in the centralized final rounds of the 2020 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League (SCCL). Carlos Vela (LAFC), André-Pierre Gignac (Tigres UANL), Sebastian Cordova (Club America) and Michaell Chirinos (CD Olimpia) are among the notable inclusions in the 25 player rosters. In accordance with the Competition Regulations, injury-related changes to the final rosters will be permitted, up until 24 hours before each team’s first quarterfinal match. Any replacement must be approved by Concacaf. Prior to each match, and no later than 90 minutes prior to kick off, each club must select 23 players that will be eligible to participate. To be eligible to participate in the competition, all players must be registered with the club and the appropriate Federation, and eligible to play per the FIFA transfer deadlines in each country. Any player who has had active time on the field for a club in the 2020 SCCL may not be registered to compete in the competition for any other 2020 SCCL club. Additionally, all players and officials must comply with Covid-19 testing protocols established by Concacaf. The winner of this competition will be crowned Concacaf’s regional club champion and will earn the right to represent the Confederation at the FIFA Club World Cup 2020, now scheduled to be played February 1-11, 2021, in Qatar. The current SCCL titleholder is CF Monterrey, who defeated Tigres UANL in the 2019 SCCL final. The 2020 SCCL centralized Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final will be played as follows (listed in EST): Tuesday, December 15, 2020 – Quarterfinals 20:00 CD Olimpia (HON) vs Montreal Impact (CAN) 22:30 Tigres UANL (MEX) vs New York City FC (USA) Wednesday, December 16, 2020 – Quarterfinals 20:00 Atlanta United FC (USA) vs Club America (MEX) 22:30 Los Angeles FC (USA) vs Cruz Azul (MEX) Saturday, December 19, 2020 – Semifinals 20:00 Montreal Impact (CAN) or CD Olimpia (HON) vs Tigres UANL (MEX) or New York City FC (USA) 22:30 Atlanta United FC (USA) or Club America (MEX) vs Los Angeles FC (USA) or Cruz Azul (MEX) Tuesday, December 22, 2020 – Final 22:00 Winner Semifinal No. 1 vs Winner Semifinal No. 2 All centralized final round matches of the 2020 SCCL will be played behind closed doors and will be widely available for fans across the region to follow and enjoy through the Confederation’s TV partner networks, including FOX Sports (USA-English), TUDN (USA-Spanish), Fox Sports Latin America (Mexico-Spanish), ESPN (Central America-Spanish), TSN and RDS (Canada-English and French), Flow Sports (Caribbean-English) and other local partners.
