Financial elite from Cayman prepare for OffshoreAlert Conference
Three hundred high-level attendees from 23 countries or jurisdictions, including the Cayman Islands, will attend next week’s OffshoreAlert Conference to discuss everything that’s important in the world of offshore finance.
The event – which will be broadcast live over the Internet to those unable to attend – has sessions for buyers, providers and investigators of offshore products and services.
“A unique aspect of The OffshoreAlert Conference is that it brings together a diverse group of influential individuals from onshore and offshore jurisdictions who share a common interest and who otherwise would be unlikely to meet each other,” said OffshoreAlert publisher David Marchant.
“We’re able to do this because OffshoreAlert is independent, respected, and trusted. Our sole agenda is to provide credible and accurate information to attendees about the complex world of OFCs, regardless of whether you are for or against them. No spin, just the facts.”
Speakers at this year’s event include offshore commercial court judges, leading providers of offshore products and services, senior IRS personnel who are leading the investigation into alleged tax evasion involving Swiss and other offshore banks, offshore and onshore regulators, and fraud and asset recovery specialists.
“The quality of the agenda is evidenced by the number of reporters who have registered to cover our event,” said Mr. Marchant. “These include television and radio representatives from Switzerland and Canada and major news organisations such as The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, and Reuters.”
The 10th Annual OffshoreAlert Conference takes place at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach in Miami Beach, Florida from April 29 to May 1, 2012.
