Sinclair commended the country and the Local Organizing Committee of the games (LOC) for stepping up to the plate to assume such a massive undertaking. The Bahamas hosted CARIFTA track and field for the eighth time this past weekend. A number of records were broken and new stars emerged.

“This year marks the third year in our three-year sponsorship of the Flow CARIFTA Games, and we are extremely keen, extremely keen to get another three-year deal committed to,” said Sinclair. He said they are looking forward to continued title sponsorship of the CARIFTA Games.

“It’s natural for a company like Flow to be involved. We are all about helping the Caribbean develop. We see this as a springboard to creating the next superstar in the sport.”

When asked if he had a horse in the race at CARIFTA, Sinclair simply responded, “I am a Jamaican.”

Flow is present throughout the Caribbean, providing a wide range of products including television services to homes and mobile phones. For sports fans, Flow launched the Flow Sports app, which can be downloaded in the Google Play Store or the IOS App store.

Flow Sports 1 has replaced the Flow Sports channel and is available to mobile subscribers for the first time. A television/cable subscription is not needed.

In addition to Flow Sports 1, Flow Sports 2 is available to Flow TV subscribers. It has more exclusive sports channels, and allows subscribers to have more English Premier League (EPL) games each week, the Indian Premier League (IPL), as well as athletics and National Football League (NFL) games.

“This is a first,” said Sinclair. “Caribbean viewers at home or on-the-go were the biggest beneficiaries of Flow’s broadcast deal with the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC), the organizers of the Flow CARIFTA Games. It also doesn’t matter where they were, as they enjoyed a front-row seat to one of the greatest junior athletic meets in the world. Through our live broadcast streams, fans across the world accessed the Caribbean’s premier junior track and field event, long known to be the incubator for the very best household names in the world of athletics, such as Elaine Thompson, Kirani James and Levern Spencer.”

Sinclair also underscored the importance of Flow’s support of the CARIFTA Games. “The Flow CARIFTA Games continues to provide opportunities for future Caribbean athletes to pursue their dreams by showcasing their talents to an international audience. So that’s why our sponsorship is so important to us. Flow presented more than 20 hours of live coverage on the Flow Sports channels across 10 Caribbean countries, including select territories throughout North America and Europe by way of international broadcast agreements.
