FOG 2K15 aims to “Unite The Island”
“FOG” takes its inspiration from both Caribbean carnival culture as well as the Hindu spring festival “Holi”, also known as the “festival of colours”. Holi is traditionally a celebration of the arrival of spring, representing love and belonging, uniquely categorized by the throwing of coloured powder. FOG 2K15 embraces the spirit of Holi and adds a little Caribbean flair to create a fun filled celebration of music and dance which sets out to unite the island as well as welcoming Cayman’s many visitors in the spirit of Caymankind.
Event Organizer, Keevon Douglas of Partyrockers Entertainment, said: “We set out to create a unique event which celebrates Cayman’s melting pot of nationalities as well as the diverse culture of the Caribbean. FOG is all about bringing people together for an unforgettable experience and what better way to do this than through music and dance.”
Party-goers will each receive powder in a variety of fluorescent colours which is non toxic and water soluble as well as being environmentally friendly.
The DJ line-up includes DJ Von HD, Sound Revolution, DJ Moses and DVJ Carter who will be performing the island’s first ever live video mix.
