Jamaica’s 24-member youth football squad has been called to a 10-day camp in preparation for the inaugural CONCACAF Under-15 Boys’ Tournament in the Cayman Islands from August 13 to 25.
The 24 players reported to camp yesterday, but only 18 of the players will travel to the Cayman Islands.
The competition will take place in three venues in Grand Cayman, with teams divided into four groups of six.
The top teams will qualify to a knockout round which will yield the CONCACAF Under-15 Boy’s Champion.
Jamaica are drawn in Group ‘B’ alongside Belize, Dominican Republic, Grenada, St Lucia and Guatemala.
The majority of the players in the national squad will represent St, James, Clarendon, St Catherine and Kingston in the Finals of the National Under-13 and Under-15 Challenge Cup to be played Thursday (1).
