For Love of Country: Progressives looking towards the future
Who are the Progressives? What do they stand for? And why should you vote for them as your new government?
These are all questions voters will be asking themselves as the General Election season moves forward. These upcoming elections are without a doubt the most crucial the Cayman Islands have ever faced. The past four years of the UDP administration have been a period of grave concern and uncertainty – and one that should be brought to an end.
“Those who wish to invest in Cayman, do business in Cayman, or simply live and work here will not do so with confidence or at all unless they are satisfied that doing so is smart and not risky,” said Wayne Panton, Progressives candidate from Bodden Town. “I want to see that every Caymanian can achieve their full potential, and I am passionate about providing the enabling policies and incentives to make this a reality.”
The first and foremost challenging task of a Progressives government will be to restore trust and confidence in the government and the Cayman Islands as a whole.
Nothing is possible without the support of the people.
And the people of Cayman can visit the two open Progressives offices to meet the candidates and ask face-to-face questions. The Progressives recently opened their West Bay office at LeMar Village, Unit #12, 312 W. Church Street. They currently have a George Town office at 488 Crewe Road, George Town.
In 2005, PPM showed strong leadership during post-Ivan rebuilding. The PPM used the opportunity to not only rebuild, but to invest in Cayman’s future physical and human resource development. PPM strengthened health services, took on major road building projects and modernized the education system. These critical infrastructure investments had been ignored by previous administrations, and have been ignored again during the failed and selfish reign of the UDP.
Towards a better tomorrow.
