Cayman Islands House Speaker, SirAlden McLaughlin, announced at the start of the Formal Opening of Parliament this morning (8) that former Pewmier Wayne Panton, was involved in an accident yesterday (.7).

“This unfortunate news”, he said . “means he (Panton) will miss the eintire meeting. We all should pray and hope for his speedy recovery.”

McLaughlin said Panton had several “broken ribs”.
