Former Rotary President charged with fraud
An RCIPS spokesperson confirmed on Thursday (4) that Canadian national, Michael Levitt (56), a former president of Rotary Sunrise, has been charged with two counts of theft, which occurred while he was employed by the local law firm, Solomon Harris.
Levitt appeared in court later on in the day where he was accused of stealing over $500,000.
Immediately after Levitt’s arrest last month, Sophia Harris, Managing Partner of Solomon Harris, said, “We want to assure our clients that no clients have been impacted and that this is an internal issue only. Solomon Harris had its strongest ever financial performance last year and this matter in no way affects the firm’s ongoing growth.”
