We’re delighted to share our campaign bill AB364 to stop fake recruiters and help end forced labor has passed in the California State Assembly.  

It will now then enter the California State Senate, where it will be considered. If it passes in the State Senate, it will only need the Governor’s signature to become law.

This is a huge step towards tackling human trafficking in California. As you know, we have  been working with our partners at Coalition Against Slavery and Trafficking (CAST) to get a new law passed to protect temporary migrant workers in the state by ensuring better accountability of all foreign labor contractors.
