Hit and Run on Marina Drive

Police are investigating a hit and run which occurred yesterday in the Prospect area sometime after 7:30pm. A female was walking along Marina Drive to go to the store when she awoke several minutes later with serious injuries to her body. She was able to alert a motorist who called 911.

The vehicle involved is unknown at this time. Police are appealing to anyone who was in the Marina Drive area yesterday evening between 7:30pm and 8:05pm to contact Inspector Adrian Barnett at 526-2204 or 800-TIPS (8477).

UPDATED: Firearm incident in East End

A 29 year resident of East End has been charged by detectives from the Drugs and Serious Crime Task Force following an incident in East End on Saturday 8th November 2014 where shots were fired into a house.

The accused was charged with possession of an offensive weapon, wounding, intentional harassment, alarm and distress. He appeared in summary court today.

Further to our previous release on Saturday November 8th, 2014 of an incident in East End where shots were fired into a house. Police has arrested a 29 year old male of East End in connection with the matter. He remains in police custody while further investigations continue.

Around 1:58 am this morning Police responded to a call of shots fired at a house in East End.
On arrival police discovered that an altercation had taken place between two men where they both received injuries.
One of the men involved in the altercation subsequently went inside the house which was then subject to shots being fired at. No one was injured.
Both men were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries received from the initial altercation.
The matter is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department.
