Funds for childhood cancer
CIFS Collects Funds for Childhood Cancer
Fire officers with the Cayman Islands Fire Service (CIFS) held out their yellow helmets and kicked off their boots today (Friday, 22 September 201) asking motorists to donate money towards childhood cancer research.
Firefighters walked along the busy streets around the court house collecting funds for the St. Baldrick’s Hannah’s Heroes charity, while other officers campaigned at nearby local businesses.
Over a two-day span, the CIFS collected a total of $3,100 for the charity.
Last Friday night (22) several fire officers also participated in the 5th Annual Hannah’s Heroes Big Shave event at The Wicket in Cricket Square.
Firefighters joined many others to have their heads shaved, show support and raise money for the foundation.
