GENESIS RANKS HIGHEST OVERALL IN J.D. POWER STUDY
- Genesis achieves the top score in J.D. Power TXI Study for a fourth consecutive year
- Recognised by customers for technology and user experience excellence
FRANKFURT, Germany, 4 September 2024: Genesis has secured its position as the highest ranking brand overall and in the premium segment in the J.D. Power U.S. Tech Experience Index (TXI) Study, topping the polls for an unprecedented fourth consecutive year.
Genesis earned the top Innovation Index score of 584 by offering a range of intuitive, advanced technologies across its product lineup.
The Genesis GV70 was recognised for having the best emerging automation for front cross traffic warning technology, known as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), in the premium category. FCA is a comprehensive monitoring system that warns drivers of potential collisions, applying the brakes to help prevent them if necessary. The system utilises a front view camera and front/front corner radars to detect pedestrians and other road users.
The internationally-recognised J.D. Power TXI Study measures the effectiveness of the emerging technologies automotive brands bring to market on a 1,000-point scale. The index combines the level of adoption of new technologies with the excellence in execution. The overall score examines how much owners like the technologies and any problems they experience using them, analysing 40 technologies across four categories: convenience, emerging automation, energy and sustainability, and infotainment and connectivity.
“Genesis cars offer a truly refined driving experience, equipped with advanced technologies designed to make each journey as comfortable, safe and rewarding as possible,” said Tyrone Johnson, Director of Vehicle Development for Genesis Motor Europe. “Our goal is to make ownership a personalised experience, and we are delighted that customers continue to find our technologies innovative and tailored to their needs. We’re proud to be recognised by the renowned J.D. Power study in the USA, for technologies that can also be found across our European product range.”
Genesis is the only brand to achieve the top score in the J.D. Power U.S. Tech Experience Index for four consecutive years, reflecting its premium, technology-led approach and continued focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.
This technology-led approach is embodied by the brand’s first all-electric car, GV60, which is available with Face Connect. The world’s first facial recognition car technology, the system operates as part of a keyless biometric entry and start system and allows drivers to access their car using their face alone, using a facial recognition sensor in the b-pillar of the car to create a truly seamless entry and start up procedure. Drivers need the physical key once to set up their profile for face recognition entry and then the car is started using their fingerprint, with all information stored securely within encrypted software.
