Armed thieves fired their gun after fleeing from the scene of a robbery in George Town.

Two men were playing dominos outside a house on Greenwood Drive just after midnight Tuesday when a pair of masked men approached.

They demanded cash and escaped after taking money from the two players.

A spokesman for RCIPS said: “The male complainant reported that about 11:40 pm on Monday 13th February 2012, he and two other males were outside a residence at Greenwwood Drive George Town playing dominoes when two masked men wearing dark clothing approached them on foot and demanded cash.

“At the time the suspects were armed with what appeared to be handguns. The suspects fled the scene on foot after taking a quantity of cash from each of the males.

“One shot was reported to have been discharged whilst the suspects were fleeing the scene.”

No-one was injured in the incident.
