Graeme Sunley named President of CISPA
Graeme Sunley, a partner with PwC Cayman, has been elected president of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA) for 2013.
Mr. Sunley was appointed to the Council presidency at CISPA’s Annual General Meeting held February 22 at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Mr. Sunley is the Asset Management Leader with PwC and previously served as vice president of CISPA. He also sits on various industry groups consulting with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority and is on the executive committee of the Cayman chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA).
Sheenah Hislop, a partner at KPMG, was elected vice president of CISPA.
Also elected to the Council for 2013 are Michael Mannisto, CISPA Secretary (Ernst & Young), Norm McGregor, CISPA Treasurer (Deloitte), Serge Berube (Deloitte), James George (BDO), Baron Jacob (Ernst & Young), Dara Keogh (KPMG), Ben Leung (PKF Cayman Ltd), Ian Lomas (RSM Cayman Ltd), Colin Nicholson (KPMG), Michael Penner (Deloitte), Jeffrey Short (Ernst & Young), Peter Small (PwC), and David Walker (PwC).
CISPA is a non-profit group that regulates and promotes the accounting profession in the Cayman Islands. CISPA works closely with Cayman schools, including UCCI and ICCI – both of which offer degrees in Business Administration with a specialty in accounting – and offers awards to top achievers in these programs. Each year CISPA hosts a gala event at the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman to recognize and honor young Caymanians who have obtained their accounting degrees or received their professional designations.
CISPA is the oldest and largest professional association in Cayman, with more than 900 members.
