A brand new community showcase and advertising programme has been unveiled by the Cayman Islands Airport Authority at Owen Roberts International Airport.

When arriving to Cayman Islands holidays, travellers will be able to see the new displays which include huge images of the famous Seven Mile Beach and a photo by Cathy Church of Grand Caymans breathtaking underwater world via 70-inch digitally driven, high-definition LCD screens and large format Tension Fabric Displays.

The displays are on show in the main passengers terminals and the private aircraft terminals and holidaymakers can either get a idea of what awaits them in the Cayman Islands or the images will leave them with an lasting memory before they go back home.
The programme is operated by Interspace Airport Advertising Grand Cayman Ltd and it will assist local businesses who are looking to attract tourists by using state-of-the-art advertising displays.

The programme has been introduced to create a welcoming environment for tourists as they arrive at the airport ready to enjoy their holidays in the Cayman Islands, as well as highlight a few of the local attractions.

A media event took place in the customs hall of Owen Roberts International Airport last month to officially launch the programme and during the ribbon-cutting ceremony, McKeeva Bush, the Cayman Islands Premier, congratulated the airports authority and Interspace Airport Advertising Grand Cayman Ltd on their new partnership.

He said: This sense of place at one of our islands gateways provides a great sampling of the offerings of our tourism product. I applaud the decision by the CIAA to install this magnificent wall mural in the customs hall and I also commend Mrs. Cathy Church and her team for the outstanding photography.

The Cayman Islands is a nation in the Caribbean Sea made up of three main islands: Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. It is a fantastic destination for scuba diving and snorkelling activities and during holidays to the Cayman Islands, visitors can explore the beautiful marine environment. The ocean waters are home to the USS Kittiwake, a former United States Navy ship, which has now become a diving attraction and artificial reef after it was sunk last year.

The Seven Mile Beach is a popular and well-known long crescent-shaped beach on the western shores of Grand Cayman. The beachfront boasts some of the most luxurious hotels in the Cayman Islands and guests can enjoy breathtaking views of the sparkling turquoise ocean as it laps the white sand shores.

There is plenty to see and do while enjoying a Cayman Islands holiday such as exploring mangrove forests or bird watching in nature parks; visiting the charming local villages and their friendly residents; and going scuba diving or snorkelling in the crystal-clear turquoise waters to an array of diving sites such as colourful coral reefs and shipwrecks.
