Travelers to Grand Cayman will certainly find an activity for every passion and endless things to see and do throughout your days and nights of visitation.

For those who love to dive, the Grand Cayman is a premier spot for every underwater thrill for all levels of divers and exceptional beauty, clarity and variety of marine life to be seen – thus making Grand Cayman among the world’s premier diving locations.

Grand Cayman is actually the largest of three islands and it is certainly grand with world-renowned diving and snorkeling along with powdery white beaches and turquoise seas.

The island has a rich history and exquisite natural beauty to be seen and discovered. Sites to see include Pedro St. James, the birthplace of democracy in the Cayman Islands and the National Museum and National Trust sites.

For shoppers there is a vast array of duty-free shops, jewelry, specialty and souvenir stores in addition to local shops selling thatch works, wood carvings, pepper sauces, birdhouses, and treasure coins.

Nature lovers will enjoy the Mastic Trail, Cayman Turtle Farm and Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park.

For those thinking of heading to the Caymans, there are perhaps four main “draws” including the beaches, diving, dining and nightlife.

Beach lovers will have many to select including Seven Mile Beach, West Bay Public Beach, Cemetery Beach, Spotts Beach, Smith Barcadere and Kaibo. And just off those beaches are over 365 different dive sites.

The Cayman Islands are known as the “Culinary Capital of the Caribbean” with over 150 restaurants to serve up every taste imaginable and after dinner there is plenty of nightlife activity with music, dancing, theater and relaxing.

Among the high points of any trip to Grand Cayman are:

1. Stingray City/Sandbar – Home to over two dozen Atlantic Southern Stingrays that get along very well with human visitors.

2. Cayman Motor Museum – That houses the first vehicle to be driven over the islands along with the original Batmobile.

3. Hell – Located in West Bay and composed of black limestone and dolomite.

4. Fort George – This structure was used to defend and protect the territory and was built by local citizens using coral and limestone.

5. Heroes Square – Recognizes Caymanians for exceptional service to their country.

6. Cayman Craft Market – The place to find all things crafty including leather, wood, shells, salt, Silver Thatch Palm and other items.

7. National Gallery – Promotes Caymanian artists and enables the exhibition of international works in the islands.

8. Gov. Gore Bird Sanctuary – Located in the Spotts Newlands area, this pond has a variety of bird life with over 60 species being observed.

9. Mission House – A historical site that in the 1800s served as a home to missionaries, teachers and families who contributed to establishing the Presbyterian ministry and school in Bodden Town.

10. Rum Point – Located on the north side of Grand Cayman, it is famous for its laid back atmosphere, shallow clear waters and sandy beach.
