GT CID charged persons for criminal and traffic offences

A 44-year-old man from George Town has been charged with burglary following an incident at Cayman Cabana in George Town which was reported to police on 7th July 2014.

A 33-year-old man from West Bay has been charged with two counts of criminal trespass, harassment and two counts of disqualified driving following an incident reported to police on 4th July 2014. This incident was one of the 14 burglaries reported to police overnight on 4th to 5th July 2014; however, this is believed to be isolated from the other reports.

A 38-year-old man from North Side, a 22-year-old man from West Bay and a 33-year-old woman from North Side have been charged with burglary following an incident in Bodden Town which was reported to police on 1st July 2014. They all appeared in Court on Monday, 14th July 2014.

Estranged husband attacks his ex wife’s male friend

On 15th July 2014 at about 09:21 pm 911 received a report of an aggravated burglary in the Savannah area. A 46-year-old female complainant reported that her 40-year-old estranged husband of Spotts broke into her residence armed with a rock through the back door whilst her and her 33-year-old male friend were inside. An argument ensued between the suspect and the complainant’s friend; the suspect used the rock and inflicted a bruise to the right side of the victim’s face. Officers from the Bodden Town Station attended to the incident. The victim refused medical assistance. The matter is under investigation by Bodden Town police.
