George Town, Cayman Islands – October 8, 2024 – The Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing, Infrastructure, Transport & Development (PAHITD) announces the upcoming construction activities for the George Town Revitalisation Initiative (GTRI). The next phase of roadwork and paving will focus on Edward Street, with works scheduled over the upcoming weekend. This stage is crucial for improving infrastructure and enhancing the overall safety and accessibility of the area.
The schedule is as follows:
* October 12, 2024: Island Paving will conduct road paving activities on sections of Edward Street. To minimize traffic disruptions, paving will occur during the night hours. We advise motorists and residents to be aware of potential road closures or restrictions during this time.

* October 14, 2024: Robson Construction will begin significant works in the designated 2b-3 and 2b-4 zones.
The Ministry will continue to update the public as the project progresses and appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation during this period of transformation.
