Two people have been arrested after a gun was found during a routine police search in  the early hours of Sunday morning.

One of the pair in custody is just 16 years old.

A spokesman for the RCIPS said: “On February 5TH 2012, around 3:41 am members of the   Uniform Support Group, while on routine patrol in the Windsor Park Area arrested two males aged 24 and 16 on suspicion of possession of an unlicensed firearm following a search. The firearm recovered was a handgun.

” Both men remain in custody pending enquiries.”
