Thank you for joining us for the 5th annual Haiti Tech Summit powered by the Global Startup Ecosystem (GSE) !  Check out the recap video and media mentions by Haitian Times below.

We announced 3 major initiatives that will take place over the next 3 years:

1. Haiti Tourism Career Accelerator in partnership with the IDB
2. Haiti National Program Service – Employing Haitian Cities for tech talent with Diaspora businesses and Fortune 500 Corporate partners
5. Diaspora Mobilization Policy for Haiti. A policy roadmap platform for connecting Diaspora to Haiti support efforts.

Roundtable invitations and live meetings will be shared in 2022 to execute on these major initiatives that will advance Haiti’s tourism industry, tackle the unemployment crisis and mobilize diaspora.

We hope that you continue to collaborate with us as we will engage with each of you for feedback, insights and support as we continue our multi year initiate.

We want to again thank every single speaker, partner, attendee, and stakeholder that has supported Haiti Tech Summit over the past 5 years. The road has had its challenges but we continue to move forward with the light of Haiti’s promise.

The Theme is on Mobilization of Diaspora. Tune in for These Top 3 Development Announcements!

Now in its 5th year, the journey here has truly been a trying yet powerful experience. As we reflect on Haiti and the stakeholders that propel the country, its people and the tech ecosystem into the future, we are pleased to welcome you to the 2021 edition.

We shared 3 major public announcements with our global partners during this summit edition which includes:

1. Tourism- We will announce a 3 year agreement to reinvigorate the tourism economy of Haiti.

2. Diaspora- We will be revealing a major 5 year mandate for Diaspora engagement

3. Technology- We will share a 10 year partnership agreement for accelerating tech talent in Haiti

As a result of these major initiatives, we will be inviting key stakeholders over the next few months to execute on these major developments. Over the past 5 years we have spearheaded the launch of Facebook, Google and Airbnb in Haiti, scaled tech hub activations across the country and activated over 100+ global partners on our roadmap to fulfilling a 13 year commitment to Haiti.

Be Apart of a 13 Year Movement

Deemed the “Davos of the Caribbean”, Haiti Tech Summit brings together thousands of entrepreneurs, investors, celebrities and creatives under one roof together to address humanity’s greatest challenges via tech and entrepreneurship.

It is a part of a 13-year initiative to turn Haiti into an international tech hub by 2030.The summit has brought Google, Facebook, Airbnb, Mastercard and 100+ organizations to build and accelerate the tech scene in Haiti.

The summit also welcomed headline speakers such as the Former President of the Republic of Haiti, Billionaire and Founder of Twitter- Jack Dorsey and many more. It is the largest tech program in the Caribbean.
