Halloween events at Camana Bay

2013-09-Happy-Halloween-Wallpaper-BackgroundwebCamana Bay, Grand Cayman: From a haunting Halloween House of Horror hosted by The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman  to the Town Centre’s  annual Halloween Spooktacular and Moonlight & Movie  Series to opportunities for kids and adults to pumpkin carve and create spooky masterpieces – you’re in for a treat and not a trick for Halloween at Camana  Bay.

Halloween Spooktacular

Little monsters  are in for a ghoulishly good time when Camana Bay hosts its annual Halloween Spooktacular! Kids, don your best costume and get ready to Trick or Treat throughout  the Town Centre,  get creative  with Creepy Crafts, guess  what’s inside the Monster Lab, watch a Spooky Creature Feature, take a picture in a charity Pumpkin Patch and dance  the night away at the Monster Mash Bash.

Moonlight & Movies: Halloween Series

You’re in for a scream  this Halloween as Camana  Bay’s hosts  a series  of spooky flicks on The Crescent:

Saturday 26 October 7pm: Monsters vs Aliens (PG) A woman transformed into a giant after she is struck by a meteorite on her wedding day becomes part of a team of monsters sent in by the U.S. government to defeat an alien mastermind trying to take over Earth.

Monday 28 October 7pm: The Spiderwick Chronicles (PG) Upon moving into the run-down Spiderwick Estate  with their mother, twin brothers Jared  and Simon Grace, along with their sister Mallory, find themselves pulled into an alternate world full of faeries and other creatures. Tuesday 29 October 7pm: Paranorman (PG) A misunderstood boy takes on ghosts, zombies and grown-ups to save  his town from a centuries-old curse.

Wednesday 30 October 7pm: Casper (PG) A paranormal expert and his daughter  bunk in an abandoned house populated by 3 mischievous  ghosts  and one friendly one.

Fabulous Fall Workshop: Bedazzled Halloween

Join Bon Vivant and Celebrations and discover your inner Hostess with the Mostess! Learn how to create fabulous floral centerpieces, inspiring tablescapes and scrumptious food – all perfect for holiday entertaining. Bay Markets Pumpkin carving Workshops

Kick off the season by learning how to create great jack-o-lanterns – participants will practice and later make their own to take home for Halloween.  With one workshop  for grown-ups  only and another  for families with witches and goblins of all ages,  everyone can get creative. This workshop will take place at the outside seating  area next to Bay Market and there will be a wide selection of Halloween candy.  To register email [email protected]

Halloween Block Party

Start the night with the angels  at Abacus from 3-9pm  and  end  with the demons and devils from 9pm-12am  at KARoo. There will be a CI$500 prize for the best dressed  group! (Minimum of 4 people). Tickets are CI $15 per person and will include a free welcome Halloween cocktail at Abacus as well as happy hour pricing till 7 pm and live music, free entry to the Rotary Club Haunted House and so much more!  Wristbands are available for presale purchase at KARoo or Abacus and sold on the night at Abacus.

Rotary Club of Grand Cayman House of Horrors

Get into the spirit of the spooky season  at The Rotary Club of Grand Cayman’s Halloween House of Horrors. Located next to Caribbean Canvas Company on The Crescent,  the haunted house will be open to the public Thursday 31 October  – Saturday  2 November  from 6:30-10:30pm.  Admission is CI$10 and can be purchased  at the door or from a Rotary Club of Grand Cayman member. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. All proceeds will benefit charities supported by the Club.
