HBO premieres new seasons of Girls and Enlightened
HBO Latin America announced the return of two highly acclaimed comedy series: 2013 Golden Globe® nominees Girls and Enlightened on January 20th in the Caribbean.
In its upcoming second season, HBO original series Girls takes a comic look at the assorted humiliations and rare triumphs of a group of women in their early 20s living in New York City after college. Emmy® winning and 2013 Golden Globe® nominee for Best Television Series, Girls is led onscreen by Lena Dunham, Emmy® nominee and 2013 Golden Globe® nominee for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Comedy or Musical. A fresh and intimate look at friendship, relationships and self-discovery, Girls is a contemporary coming-of-age show that packs humor, farce and poignancy into each episode.
Also returning for a second season is the Golden Globe® winning original series Enlightened, following the story of an ambitious executive at a global conglomerate who returns to her fractured life after a humiliating public breakdown, determined to lead a more enlightened existence. Golden Globe® winner and co-creator Laura Dern stars in the series, which she executive produces along with Mike White, who also co-stars, writes and directs for the series.
Girls and Enlightened are half-hour comedy series.
