Miami, FL –  HBO Latin America has announced the premiere of the HBO original stand-up special, Whitney Cummings: I’m Your Girlfriend on January 23^rd at 23:30hrs AST*. The one-hour special features the American comedienne, Whitney Cummings, co-creator of the hit series 2 Broke Girls, as she headlines her first HBO stand-up special, taped live at The Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California.

 Whitney Cummings: I’m Your Girlfriend, presents Cummings and her uncensored observations on today’s gender dynamics, as she divulges into the paradoxes of sex and relationships in an age where women are more liberated than ever before. In front of a live audience, Cummings’ breed of comedy takes an unabashed stab at every water cooler topic of the day, with a particular emphasis on gender inequality, sexism and relationships, shining a light on topics such as: whether men prefer successful women, women who make more money than their male partners, birth-control and her personal experience of freezing her eggs.

 In addition to her hit, Emmy®-nominated series 2 Broke Girls, Cummings also created and starred in the comedy series Whitney, wrote and co-executive produced the series Live Nude Comedy and has acted in series such as Maron and Workaholics and in the upcoming film, The Ridiculous Six. She was also named one of Entertainment Weekly’s “Comedy Stars of Tomorrow.”

 Cummings joins a long list of stellar comedians who have starred in HBO stand-up specials, including: Amy Schumer, Louis C.K., Chris Rock, Tracy Morgan, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, George Carlin, Jamie Foxx, Jerry Seinfeld, George Lopez, Sarah Silverman, Bill Maher, Katt Williams, Wanda Sykes and Lewis Black.

 Directed by Marty Callner, Whitney Cummings: I’m Your Girlfriend is written by Cummings, who also serves as executive producer, alongside Callner and Jimmy Miller. The special is produced by Randall Gladstein.
