For many of you who have witnessed and supported my entrepreneurial journey, it is no secret that grit determination are codes that I work by. Many people ask me, how did I start Global Startup Ecosystem (GSE). And I usually reply with my journey for the past 3 years, sharing the challenges, successes and the roadmap for what’s to come.

But, its probably more important that I share why I started GSE. 

I will start by saying it wasn’t on purpose. It started with purpose. There will be moments in your life where you will be fed up with the status quo and not question why it is this way but relentlessly pursue ways to change it…for the better. 

In June 2017, while standing in a busy street in Port au Prince, Haiti – I had that moment. Places like Haiti deserve better. Tech is changing our daily lives and the concentration of resources and support needs to be redistributed. It was on this busy street that I said, we need to build tech communities in the places that people say it shouldn’t be… or worse…where it couldn’t be.

That’s what I’m building. That’s what I’ve been building. Its more that a community, or a platform that accelerates tech hubs. Its a new narrative on what’s possible tomorrow in the places that can inspire you about the power of human resilience.

With less then 10 days left to go in the campaign, I’m reaching out to my community to back me on this next milestone of my company to launch the first phase of our community portal app!
