Holiday events at Cayman Islands Camana Bay

Festive Traditions

Saturday 22 November

Santa Run | 6:30am, The Crescent

Join a parade of red and white for a jolly jog around the Town Centre to raise funds for the Camana Bay Christmas Give.

Saturday 22 November

8th Annual Tree Lighting | 6-8pm, The Crescent

Camana Bay transforms into a sparkling wonderland with a majestic Christmas tree, inspiring musical performances, a Christmas craft market and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Saturday 29 November

Santa Paws | 10am-12pm, Gardenia Court

Pets and their owners can take photos with Santa and shop for holiday gifts to support the Cayman Islands Humane Society.

Saturday 29 November

Pink Ladies Bazaar | 2-5pm, The ARC

This beloved annual charity fundraiser features a craft and bake sale along with performances by the National Choir and Orchestra.

Cayman Hospice Care’s Light Up A Life | 5:30-7pm, Cassia Court

The community comes together to celebrate the lives of loved ones by adding individual lights to the memorial tree.

Saturday 6 December

Cayman 27’s Parade of Lights | 6-8pm, The Crescent & The Festival Green

Boats aglow with thousands of brightly coloured lights parade through The Harbour against a soundtrack of choirs while a Christmas market charms with local food and crafts.

Santa Story Time | 10:30am, Regal Cinemas

Books & Books presents a special holiday-themed Story Time featuring classic Christmas tales and day-of deals in store.

Festive Flavour Tour | 6pm & 7pm, West Indies Wine Company

The restaurants of Camana Bay celebrate the season with a four-course dine-around featuring traditional holiday fare and fresh local ingredients. The cost is

Cayman Artisans Market | 11am-3pm, Gardenia Court

From pottery and batiks to woodwork and mosaics, shoppers can check off their Christmas lists with artisanal products made in Cayman.

Drum Circle End of Year Jam | 4-6pm, Jasmine Court

Local musicians celebrate a vibrant year with a drum choral unlike any Pa Rum Pum Pum Pum you’ve ever heard.

Visions of sugar plum fairies under the stars; students from Miss Jackie’s School of Dance perform holiday classics.

With two spectacular fireworks displays and a rockin’ New Year’s Eve party, Camana Bay is ringing in 2015 with festivities for all ages on The Crescent.

Moonlight & Movies Christmas Series | 7pm, Gardenia Court

Families can cuddle up in the festively lit courtyard to enjoy their favourite Christmas films on a giant outdoor screen.

25 November | Fred Clause (2007, PG) – Fred Claus, Santa’s bitter older brother, is forced to move to the North Pole.

2 December | Rise of the Guardians (2012, PG) – When the evil spirit Pitch launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world.

9 December | Arthur Christmas (2011, PG) – On Christmas night at the North Pole, Santa’s youngest son looks to use his father’s high-tech operation for an urgent mission.

16 December | 7pm, A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965, G) – Repelled by the commercialism he sees around him, Charlie Brown tries to find the true meaning of Christmas. 7:30pm, Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964, G) – A misfit reindeer and his friends look for a place that will accept them. 8pm, Frosty the Snowman (1969, G) – A living snowman and a little girl struggle to elude a greedy magician who is after the snowman’s magic hat.

23 December | How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000, PG) – A creature is intent on stealing Christmas.

Holiday Farmers & Artisans Market | 12-7pm (10am-5pm 24 December), Cassia Court & The Paseo

Throughout the holiday season, Camana Bay’s popular weekly market will be infused with Christmas cheer.

Thursdays 27 November – 18 December

Traditional Santa Photos | 5-7pm, Gardenia Court

Kids can join the jolly old elf in his full red-and-white regalia to whisper wishes and snap memories.

Saturdays 29 November – 20 December

Caribbean Santa Photos | 3-5pm, The Island

Father Christmas goes island-style with a tropical shirt, shorts and sun-drenched photos in the sand.

Sundays 23 November – 21 December

Regal Opera House Holiday Series | 3pm, Regal Cinemas

Enjoy special matinee screenings of classic productions from the Royal Ballet and Metropolitan Opera. Tickets are available at the box office for $20 for adults and $15 for children 2-12 and seniors 60+.

23 November | Romeo and Juliet – A poignant ballet based on Shakespeare’s tragic tale of star-crossed lovers.

30 November | Carmen – A much-loved opera based on Prosper Mérimée’s novella about a naïve soldier seduced by a fiery Gyspy.

7 December | Romeo and Juliet – A poignant ballet based on Shakespeare’s tragic tale of star-crossed lovers.

14 December | Le Nozze di Figaro – A timeless opera composed by Mozart and based on Pierre Beaumarchais’ playful stage

comedy.

21 December | The Winter’s Tale – A dramatic ballet based on Shakespeare’s enduring tale of love, loss and reconciliation.
