Holmes Murphy Foundation Contributes $120K in Collective Impact to Local Nonprofits 

25 charitable organizations across company’s geographic footprint to receive funds as part of Community Footprints Program

August 6, 2024 – Waukee, IA — Holmes Murphy is excited to announce more than $120,000 in philanthropic contributions to 25 different nonprofit organizations through the Holmes Murphy Foundation Community Footprints Program. This is a 20% increase over last year’s contributions. Since the Holmes Murphy Foundation established its Community Footprints Program in 2020, the company has made more than half a million dollars in collective charitable contributions and over 125 nonprofits have been impacted.

“Giving back to the communities where we live, work, and play has been a staple of the Holmes Murphy way dating back to our founders, Max Holmes and Ray Murphy,” said Dan Keough, Holmes Murphy Chairman & CEO. “Knowing that we’ve been able to continue this tradition into our 92nd year, I’m positive Max and Ray would be incredibly proud. They always believed we all play a vital role in caring for those around us, and I know all of us at Holmes Murphy are honored to keep this tradition alive.”

The Holmes Murphy Foundation Community Footprints Program allows employees to select 501(c)(3) or nonprofit organizations in their specific geographical locations that align with the Holmes Murphy Foundation giving pillars of Safety, Health, and Wellbeing; Youth Opportunities; Arts & Culture; and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Last year, the Holmes Murphy Foundation worked to increase its impact and contributions. As a result, a total of 467 nonprofits were uplifted, a 274% increase from 2022 to 2023. On top of this, Holmes Murphy employees contributed more than 5,500 volunteer hours, an 85% increase over 2022. The company increased its Direct Giving funds by 23% from 2022, for a total of $1.67 million awarded. Additionally, Holmes Murphy distributed $100,000 through the Holmes Murphy Foundation Community Footprints Program. The company also experienced a 15% increase in its Employee Match program whereby employees can annually double their contribution to a nonprofit of their choice up to $250.
