Migrant domestic workers report being trapped in Lebanon and are urgently calling for assistance. Many haven’t received wages in months due to the economic crisis and employers are reportedly withholding workers’ passports preventing them from leaving the country. For those who have overstayed their residency, the fear of legal repercussions if they try to leave is another barrier to returning home.
