CANADA: Trudeau’s dinner invite to Khalistan separatist revoked

A day after Justin Trudeau assured Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh that Canada didn’t support any separatist movement, the Khalistan issue has come to haunt the visiting Prime Minister.

A huge controversy erupted when news emerged that an invitation has been extended to Khalistan separatist Atwal, who was also convicted of attempted assassination in Canada in 1987, for the reception to be held at the residence of Canadian High Commissioner Nadir Patel in New Delhi on Thursday.

Compelled to take cognisance of the matter, the High Commission later rescinded the invitation.

“This individual( Khalistani terrorist Jaspal Atwal) should never have been invited to any event on the program, and his invitation has been rescinded. We are in the process of looking into how this occurred,” the Canada PMO said in a statement.

HBO renews its original comedies, HIGH MAINTENANCE and CRASHING, for a third season.

HIGH MAINTENANCE provides a glimpse into the daily routines of a diverse group of New Yorkers and how they light things up. Ben Sinclair stars as The Guy, a nameless pot deliveryman whose client base includes an eccentric group of characters with neuroses as diverse as the city.

Starring Pete Holmes, CRASHING draws on Holmes’ own experiences as a comedian, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the world of stand-up comedy in New York City.

The second seasons of HIGH MAINTENANCE and CRASHING are currently airing on HBO.

All seasons can be enjoyed on the digital platform, HBO GO by visiting www.hbogoca.com or on the app from any iOS or Android device.

Symphony of the Seas concludes successful sea trials

By Matt Hochberg From Royal Caribbean Blog

STX France shipyard reported Symphony of the Seas’ first sea trials were a success.

The sea trials took place between February 15 and 18, where almost every onboard system was tested.

The ship is in its “completion phase”, which means it is getting prepared to be delivered to Royal Caribbean in late March.

The sea trials included over 80 hours of sailing that covered 1,000 nautical miles off Belle-Île island. During the trials, the full range of the ship’s systems were activated at sea, most of those being already adjusted and presented for commissioning, both to Royal Caribbean and to the classification society.

STX France reports each and every performance goal was reached.

There will be another short sea trial that will need to be schedule prior to delivery in order to perform “a few more nautical performance trials.”
